10-30-05, 06:18 PM I'm thinking of making a Choboco raiser class... Thus, the class needs CHOBOCOS (giant, tamed, semi-magical chickens)! Well, since there are many different kinds of choboco, let's make some!

i never played the tactics games but something tells me that the black chocobo had a few more tricks than true flight up its feathers

i think your best bet is to start with the dragon version and add temlates and HD

damn we need an effing dire template

First off, they're Chocobos, not Chobocos.

Second off, they were statted in Dragon 323. Very good write-up.

Third off, your Chocobo Raiser class idea intrigues me. PM me when (if?) you finish it.

11-02-05, 12:59 PM ...Dragon already did it, and well. The only gripe I have is the flying "Black" Chocobo. Of course, in each game there is a little variation, such as you can have just the ones there, or you could go with FFVII's approach of a pile of different types and colors (corresponding to Swim speeds, Climb speeds, Fly speeds for the Gold, etc). But the base creature is already done, and it's done well. They make excellent mounts in the game, and there are few things crazier than an evil Blackguard mounted on a giant, flame-eyed, red-tinged giant infernal chicken to confuse the hell out of your PC's. ;)
