I finally decided i'd get around to statting monsters more frequently, converting novel, movie and game monsters alike.

My next project is the six dragons from Chrono Cross

(in order above)Red, Sky, Green, Blue, Earth and Black.

Any tips in their creation would be greatly helpful! :)

I just can't shake how much the Fire Dragon (not Red, I'm following the Brady Games Strategy Guide) looks like a Kobold in his first form. (I discovered D&D awhile after playing Chrono Cross.)

You could steal an Elemental Plate from each dragon, that would absorb and heal attacks of that variety. You may want to incorperate some sort of Armor like that into the loot for winning the battle. They all had a breathe attack that matched their elements.

- The Blue Dragon used Water and Ice spells and attacks.
- Earth Dragon, obviously, earth attacks
- Green Dragon had a strong poisoning breath attack, he may also work well with some druid and ranger spells.
- Fire Dragon would change forms after so much damage, and he used usual fire-based spells.
- Black Dragon's breath weapon caused darkness. He liked gravity spells like other Squaresoft dark monsters, so you may want to stat them up too.
- Sky Dragon had a NullState tech that basically weakened all attacks headed in his direction for a few rounds. Cleric spells like Searing Light (without the 5d6 damage cap) would be a nice addition to his arsenal.
