Coatl ESL (effective sorcerer level) [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-24-06, 10:44 AM As is, the coatl has 9 levels in sorcerer. My question is though, when I increase its hit dice (originally 9) do I add ESLs to it as well, or do all coatls without levels in sorcerer have only a 9th caster level?

03-24-06, 11:58 AM No, adding monsters HD don't level up the caster levels of a creature, you had to add sorcerer levels to do that (and d4 hd).
