Would someone take a moment to post the guidelines for advancing fiends that come from one or both (?) of the fiendish codexes?

Thanks, TS

Do you mean the Aspects of the Demon Princes/Archdukes of Hell? There are advanced versions somewhere on the D&D site
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070216a
for the Archdukes.

As for the general Demons and Devils, they follow the normal process

I was browsing through books at a Borders and picked up one of the Codices (don't remember which one), and there was a short blurb about advancing fiends by more than just HD. It gave guidelines for how many stat boosts to give per CR, which is the tidbit that I'm really intererested in.

I'm sorry, I couldn't help you even if I did have the books. It's againist the CoC to post stuff from the books, not to mention illegal and just plain immoral. You're best bet would be to go out and buy the books.

Ok, immoral is pushing it just a bit too far into the "high and mighty" territory. As for the legality of it, I know you're not susposed to post anything due to the Terms of Service that Wizards has for the boards, but I don't think anyone's going to jail for sharing stats.

That said, I can't post exact stats from either book, but I can tell you that, as Mai said, they follow the same advancement as the fiends in the Monster Manual. It also depends how far you're going. If you want that "I am next to a god" feel, go nuts. Break out the Epic Level Handbook if you want. Of course this is going on the assumption that you want your PCs to fight and possibly defeat said fiend. If they're not susposed to beat him/her, don't give them stats. If the PCs are going to meet with Asmodeus for plot reasons, Big A should be able to do whatever you want him to do. If they **** him off, turn one of them inside out. No save. Granted, you may want to fix said PC before the rest of the party leaves, but it'll be a good lesson in respecting powers. However, this is also assuming that you want to advance a Demon Prince/Lord of the Nine. If you just want to beef up a run of the mill demon then, as I've said beforethey follow the same advancement as the fiends in the Monster Manual.

I hope I helped :D

Hi tequila
In the creatures crypt see: book of demons and others with 3.0 stats or epic demon lords and epic archdevils/stats based from FC 1&2.
