| PremiumBanana01-19-06, 10:16 AM | Hello peoples. This is my first post and i really hope somone can help me out with this. :D i was just sittin here bored at work thinkin up a dungeon for my campagin and came up with a room i though would be a great idea. i wont bore you with the details, but it's essentially a freezer kept cold with Brown Mold. now i just need a monster to live in it cause this particular dungeon has been abandoned by humanoids many years ago. the thing is.. i dont have my MM with me (cause i'm at work. :P) and i am still really new to the whole D&D thing so i dont know many monsters off the top of my head. so anyhow i was wonderin if anyone could toss me a creature or 2 with cold resistance that is CR3 or lower. i got MM1 and MM3 at home so just a name will do if there is anything in either of them that would suit my needs. If you got something from another book then a few basic stats would be greatly appreicated! Thanks! :D |
| Spike_Fightwicky01-19-06, 10:33 AM | It seems as though an Ice Mephit (MM 1) may be the perfect creature for you. They're CR 3, and love cold places. You can have either just one or a bunch that moved into the naturally cold climate. If you want the stats, they're part of the SRD, so I can post them. |
| Uther_the_Other01-19-06, 10:38 AM | Ice Mephit (CR 3) could be fun. Skeletons are immune to Cold (use a skeletal form of anything with 7 or less HD) A White Dragon Wyrmling (CR 2) or Very Young (CR 3) Those are just a few from the MM |
| The Vorpal Tribble01-19-06, 10:46 AM | Too bad you don't have Frostburn. Have some perfect monsters for it. Ice toads and snow spiders for example. Both are CR 3's. |
| Uther_the_Other01-19-06, 10:49 AM | Yeah, Frostburn is nice. I'm gonna be using it during my pseudo-Norse campaign (using a bit of the Norse pantheon with a bit of an edit, let's just say redone post-Ragnarok with an impending Ice Age) |
| The Vorpal Tribble01-19-06, 10:57 AM | Sounds cool. I've just started running an arctic campaign myself, and Frostburn is a must for it. If interested I can give a link to Wizard's Campaign Workshop where I have a few dozen pages of the campaign's details. |
| PremiumBanana01-19-06, 12:58 PM | Thanks alot people. =D i'll look into Ice mephits and a Dragon wouldnt be a bad idea either. the party's first! most likely i'll stay away from the skellies cause i already over use the undead. heh. anyhow, thanks again. :) |
