Common forms of Damage Reduction [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-06-04, 08:18 PM I'm contemplating taking the Vow of Poverty for my monk. But I'm wondering what are the most common forms of damage reduction?

07-06-04, 08:32 PM The most common, without a doubt, is DR/magic, followed by silver, good/evil/lawful/chaotic, slashing/bludgeoning, cold iron, adamantine, and epic.

DR/piercing is the rarest I believe, AFAIK the rakshasa are the only monsters that have it. In Eberron, certain abberations have DR/byeshk as well.
