Constructing Pulverizers [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-04-05, 02:29 AM Can anyone tell me the formula for creating a Pulverizer Automaton (MM2) for the ground up? A player in my game wants to "rebuild" one so I really need to know. Also how fast can a Pulverizer tunnel through rock? It's base speed is 40'/round, but I would say that is over a flat, clear surface. Maybe 5'/round at best when moving through rock?

01-04-05, 02:30 AM if it is trying to move through solid rock and lacks a burrow speed, it can move as fast as it can smash the rock in front of it.

01-04-05, 02:48 AM Says that they use a sonic burst to loosen rock and then smash the rocks with their slam. However there is no ruling on the actual speed that it can do this in. I'm thinking that it was never designed for quickly moving through rock, but rather for mining labour.

01-04-05, 11:53 AM The Pulverizer was designed as an excavator, not a burrower.

To build one, I'd say you needed the Craft Construct Feat and the spells Shout and Shadow Conjuration. Minimum caster level is the minumum caster level to have those two spells (9th, I think).
