06-06-04, 12:16 AM No. The magic used to animate a construct is instantaneous in duration. Once the ritual is complete, they do not require any sustained dweomer to keep "running." They are also not "shut down" in an anti-magic field or a dead magic zone, although any spell-like abilities they have may be suppressed.
