I'm a 6th level Wizard who just picked up Craft Construct, and while there are plenty of fun things to make later, right now I can't even make a homunculus. Can anyone help?

You might be able to make:
Monsters of Faerun:
Crawling Claw
Fiend Folio:
Necrophidius
Monster Manuel II:
Gain a level and you can make a Bogun.

You could always hire a few assistants .... ;)

Just make sure they don't take everything after the rituals ....

You need to be a druid to make a bogun (stats for which can be found in three places: Masters of the Wild, MMII, and Complete Divine).

I'm too laxy to find the link but if you search for it you should find my Clothing Golem on the boards. Just be aware that it can be destroyed by a kobold with a pair of scissors.:D

Hello, those things are usful. Just make 2 or 3 of them, it isnt that expensive IMO for a 5th level Wizard or Sorcerer, they make great body guards and cannon fodder for low level Wizards.

I believe the Dread Guard (MMII) is one of the more useful constructs with a low caster level (5th according to the 3.5 update). Not too expensive either, nor does it require the use of a "wish-like" effect. If you give it some enhanced armor and weapons (and up its HD by a step so it can take weapon focus) it can be as decent a fighter as a 3rd or 4th level character.

Normally, unless you want weaker constructs like this, Craft Construct isn't that good until about 11th level.
