Knucklehead 03-06-05, 09:20 AM	This post is to humor my old fashioned DM so bear with me. Last night we stumbled upon a stone golem. One of the PC's cast invisibility. There was an argument about whether the construct was immune to the illusion. We looked it up and determined it was effected by the spell. Then the discussion turned to undead. Back in the day undead were immune to illusions. Now they are immune to mind-effecting illusions, but not glamers or figments. So just to be sure I'm not missing something, constructs and undead are both effected by glamers and figments, but patterns and phantasms are worthless against them, right?
d_nychus 03-06-05, 09:57 AM	For the most part, yes, though, if, somehow, a glamer or figment had a mind-affecting effect, the undead and constructs would be immune to that effect. Just remember glamers and figments are outside sensory effects, while phantasms and patterns have some sort of effect that exists only in the target's head. Since undead and constructs can see, hear, and even feel, they can be affected by glamers and figments, but since there is no mind, or somehow the mind is "beyond" that (like with intelligent undead and constructs) patterns and phantasms do not affect them.
