| Ad Infinitum06-29-06, 02:57 AM | For an arena game, I'm going to be playing a Flesh Colossus (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/colossus.htm#fleshColossus) What's throwing me is the binding of the ghost, as part of the construction: Finally, the necromancer must bind a ghost of at least 10 HD (the more powerful the better) into the colossus to act as its controlling spirit. Without the controlling spirit, the colossus is just an oversized zombie; with it, it functions as a golem of great size and repugnant appearance. If no ghost is available, the necromancer may occupy the colossus himself by casting magic jar. So what exactly does this entail? It has an antimagic field that prevents spells and SLA except those of the flesh golem. Since the ghost is now part of the golem, are the ghosts supernatural abilities immune? If my ghost has the dexterity for Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting and the golem doesn't, can the feat still be used? Does it get the normal +Cha as deflection bonus that a ghost normally has? How exactly are the physical stats of my character supposed to work, from the dice, the racial abilities that ghosts keep, the +4 charisma bonus from the ghost template, the bonus from level up... I swear, Tylonel owes Wizards big. |
