Lord_Canius 01-15-07, 10:40 PM	Manual of the Planes gives spells for the purpose of summoning Inevitables, I beleive. That may be what was being refered to.
rbingham2000 01-16-07, 04:37 AM	Recently got my hands on MMII, with things like automatons, clockwork horrors, half-golems, nimblewrights, runic guardians and others. All of a sudden, I've got the idea for a Strogg-like mechanized realm ruled by corrupt wizards and artificers, and I wish I could find that Dungeon issue with the "Rage Against the Machines" adventure, with that machine that turned creatures into half-mechanical horrors. I mean, all of these constructs generally beg to be used for a setting all its own!
J_Riley 01-16-07, 02:54 PM	Many arcs ago, I had a BBEG in the mold of Dr. Frankenstein and she created a Flesh Golem as a guardian/servant. It held the PCs off while she fled to the roof and escaped. She also had several orcs with undead grafts (from Libris Mortis) which fit the theme as well, it was a fun little arc.
Mrloki 01-16-07, 03:15 PM	Yes I have used them very much so. Ran a campagin where the majority of the foes my pcs fought were warforged. I changed them a little bit, mainly how they were made. Demons who had captured souls or those who willinging gave them up (or sold them) twisted and broke the souls self will, and placed them in the shells of the first warforged, and gave them to a evil ruler to cause discord amoung the material plane. (more to it then just that of course)
itwasntme 01-16-07, 03:24 PM	Constructs are monsters and normoly i try to have at least 1 of each type in all my games Kinda like what the worlds largest dungion did? Sep without the Your stuck in the worlds largest dungion Contructs are normoly in my point of view Guards to some eather Holy room or something powerfull or important What better to guard a lich key item then a key branch of golems? What better to guard the Great Dragons teasure when hes away? In my games i try and think Why someone would be doing something in there mind not how the player is playing the character (like the player knows that a wizard has a weekness to light even tho his character is fooled otherwise) Sure Golems shouldnt be the only thing guarding things like that But it makes for a good "Body guard" Of bosses right? You know the hard battle before the Boss comes around to say "Hey its going to be hard if you face this boss you might want to resupply and rest!" or eles hey how eles are the players going to take the hint that maybe they should rest before entering the room? They dount know one of the boss type npc are in there! (perhaps they do but this is a good way to make players think "Hmm Contructs? Hm i wounder what type it was?") of course im just useing Golems as an example hear Eh who knows maybe the big powerfull strong thing in the dungion/maze of death is the Contruct? and with MM2 half golems you can make a very powerfull melee type of boss as long as there int/cha is higher then 3 its playble (Tho it would help with a higher Wis for better Stragy/things like that) even wizard agrees on that part hears one example wizard gives on that "Anything higher then a intellgence of 2 has more on the lines of human/humanoid type intellgence and cannot be an animol as they can think" There are other better examples but thats the first one i think mentioned by wizard Eh i forget what awakened retructions are but i wounder if you could have a Awakened Contruct running around? with class levels? Like how Mr Big T Can have class levels (The intellgence is 3 i beleve) and the big topic of makeing Mr T Into a Scor or something eles ... Maybe even a druid? hey we have Mr Big T Running around as the mad guardian spirt of this forest! hes a druid! eh dosnt make sense but o well you get my point make the contruct that much more eye popping ... Wait someone awakened a Contruct and its the brains behind the operation? ...
NerdNumber1 01-16-07, 07:23 PM	In garreth's Arena I play inteligent golems. I modify inteligent item rules (think of it as an inteligent items taking over the golem only the golem is instructed to give in to all attemps at domination).
