| Foxboy200009-07-04, 07:20 PM | I'm looking for how to convert 2nd edition AD&D monsters to 3.5. I recently found an old Dragon Magazine that has a Pink Dragon, and I want to unleash the dopey-looking terror upon them! Quick summary: Breath Weapon: old-school cloud of bubbles effect. Fills a given spread with soapy bubbles that blind and confuse while making the ground slippery, to which the dragon is immune. Said dragon then wades in, crunch-crunch-crunch, TPK. :D |
| Timely Drought09-07-04, 10:36 PM | There those penguins from spelljammer. And the giant space hamsters. I always wanted to make a giant space hamster rider. |
| abraham09-08-04, 05:21 PM | how about the tin golem,chocolate golem,plush golem & the chia golem? |
| Seraph of Babel09-09-04, 06:09 AM | Creature Catalogue (See my signature for link) has done many 2E-3E conversions. Take a look at their website. They also have an dragon magazine article there which deals with creating a monster. Make the changes to v3.5 by referring to MM v3.5. |
| Aimless Wanderer09-09-04, 12:08 PM | how about the tin golem, chocolate golem, plush golem & the chia golem? if "create water" is casted on your chia golem.... does it grow? (like an enlarge monster spell?) and a giant hampster riders... couldnt you take the dire badger or dire weasel stats and fix up a dire hampster taht reigns coconuts of doom on your city.... or however that quote goes ;) |
| Adrez Nesnsid09-09-04, 02:04 PM | how about the tin golem, chocolate golem, plush golem & the chia golem? Is there really a published "plush golem" monster in some previous edition source? Because a while back I was toying (no pun intended) with a monster idea along the same lines and had no idea that somebody else had come up with the same idea. |
| Master Agnald09-10-04, 08:00 AM | Same... except that with me it was the tin golem (you see, I really like golems, but my characters were too low-leveled for fighting an iron golem, so...). Weird... |

All of the golems he listed already exist, most in the same dragon mag. The chocolate one even has a 'nougat-filled' varient. Also, the Chia Golem is actually pretty cool, beyond the silliness. Entangle as a special ability. |
