In a campaign I'm in, I used the name "Gigoth" for a great black wyrm.

He only appears within the myths of the world, but it was still his name.

Good dragon names are typically between 10 and 15 letters long, containing no more than 3 vowels, and are not pronouncable by the human voicebox.

Nicknames and titles are more reasonable though ;)

A black Dragon from my campaign is Verrakosos, which to men is meltingdeath.

I generaly try to give my dragons psuedo-ancient greek sounding names.
