ZaPPZion 03-12-07, 04:53 AM	Hey, We are currently playing the city of the spider queen campaign, and we came to the spider web. We fell down the spider web in one of the forbidden area's of the web. So the spider came down to me, and looked like he was going to eat me, so we started to kill him (after a long battle, we succeeded). Then our DM looked up the CR for the gargantuan spider, and found out that it's only CR 9 :confused: while the thing has a lot of hp (thought it was about 24HD), so we thought the spider would be at least CR 13-14, and even then it's still a bit overpowered. Could anyone tell me if the CR 9 is a mistake or did they put that in on purpose as a kind of bonus xp? Greetz and thx in advantage, ZaPPZion
Naderion 03-12-07, 08:11 AM	I think they just used the Fiendish Template with a gargantuan giant spider and made the CR-Adjustment accordingly.
