| Peregrine_Wolf03-23-08, 11:04 PM | (I am well aware that the creature is not 3.X) Some friends and I took the innerdragon quiz online and one of my friends turned out to be a scarlet dragon. Out of curiosity, my friends and I decided to find the stats for it online, but to no avail. I would appreciate it greatly if anyone could provide the stats for it (Preferrably all the Age Catagories). P.S. I found the link in Derren S.'s sig, but for the sake of convienience if you want the address, copy the following address into your URL: http://www.dragonhame.com/ P.S.S. I am an Amethyst Dragon, and the friends I took the quiz with are scarlet and mist dragons. |

| RavinRay03-24-08, 09:16 PM | What I recall from reading web articles years ago is that there's a 2e fan-made crimson dragon which is like a neutral counterpart to the red dragon (and different from the Savage Coast crimson dragon of the world of Mystara), and then a scarlet dragon which is good. Wait, I just found the 2e fan-made crimson dragon (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Realm/4173/dragons/crimson.html) and scarlet dragon (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Realm/4173/dragons/scarlet.html). |

Ah, so they're fan-made...that would explain it. |
| RavinRay03-25-08, 07:33 AM | That list (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Realm/4173/dragons/) brings up all sorts of, well, weird fan-made 2e dragons. A favorite is cross-breed dragons, so there's the skunk dragon (black × white), etc. |
| DebiHuman03-25-08, 03:32 PM | I haven't seen any homebrew 3e stats for Scarlet Dragons, but if I come across one, I'll post a link. Both the scarlet dragon and the crimson dragon seem to be half red/half-black dragons. I do have a sample half red/half-black dragon that I can post. Unfortunately, I don't have the name of the person who created this so I can't give appropriate credit but here it is: Young Adult Half Red/Half Black Dragon Large Dragon; CR 11; HD 17d12+68; hp 178; Init +0; Speed 40 ft., fly 150 ft. (poor), swim 60 ft.; AC 26, touch 20, flat-footed 26; Attack: bite +23 (2d6+7); Full Attack: bite +23 (2d6+7), 2 claws +18 (1d8+3), 2 wings +18 (1d6+3), and 1 tail slap +18 (1d8+10); SA Breath Weapon, spell-like abilities, spells; SQ: damage reduction 5/+1, darkvision 120 ft., immunity to acid, fire, sleep, and paralysis, water breathing; AL CE; SV Fort +14, Ref +11, Will +12; Str 25, Dex 10, Con 19, Int 13, Wis 14, Cha 13 Feats: Flyby Attack, Hover, Inproved Initiative, Power Attack, Wingover Skills: Hide +14, Move Silently +10. Breath Weapon (Su): A dragon has one type of breath weapon, a cone of acidic, black fire (5d10 fire, 5d6 acid). Save for half damage versus DC 24. Water Breathing (Ex): The dragon can breathe underwater indefinitely and can freely use its breath weapon, spells, and other abilities while submerged. Charm Reptiles (Sp): The dragon can use this ability three times per day. It operates as a mass charm spell that works only on reptilian animals. The dragon can communicate with any charmed reptiles as though casting a speak with animals spell. Other Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day-darkness (radius 10 feet per age category) and insect plague; 1/day-find the path and plant growth. Spells: as a 3rd level sorcer. This hybrid dragon was created as a mating of a red and black dragon. Typically, these dragon types don't make, but in this rare case, a male red dragon was able to dominate a female black dragon long enough to produce these unique offspring. Again, this is not my creation but I thought I'd post it as an example. Also, I have not checked the stats for this so they may be way off. If nothing else, it gives you a starting point. Debby |
