Does anyone have any 3.5 cow stats? Failing that, any suggestions on making my own?

Thanks!

We used Bison as a base for Oxen, etc.

From the SRD:

The bison’s statistics can be used for almost any large herd animal.

The FRCS has the Faerun version of cattle; herd animals similar to musk-oxen, called Rothe' (page 313-314.)

Yeah, but don't forget their special attack:

Stampede (Ex): A herd of creatures that becomes panicked will flee at a full run in a random direction, charging in a solid mass of packed flesh. They run over anything their own size or smaller, dealing a certain amount of damage for each animal in the stampede (2d4 for Medium-sized herd animals, 1d12 for Large herd animals.)

Hmm... Now, offhand, I'd go with you, there, Ssussunriyh, me old mucker, but I'm not 100% sure if cows actually stampede or not.

From what I've seen, even when in immediate danger, they rarely flee... Or even notice, to be honest with you. Admittedly, my knowledge of how cows react to the unknown stems primarily from Men In Black, but even so... :D

Every western movie that featured a cattle drive included a scene where the cowboys were frantically trying to avoid being trampled in a stampede.

Of course, those cattle were tough, free-ranging Texas Longhorns, not the fat, lazy heifers you see in the cowpens at a dairy farm.

Right, well, in that case, I'll allow Stampede as an optional extra, available for certain breeds of cattle. Sound fair?

Sounds good to me.

Then it's agreed. Stampede as an optional extra. :)

There we are then. Hope that proves useful, Yu.
