CR 1/4 creature with CR +1 template [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-05-05, 12:30 AM I was looking at adding the Shadow Creature template to a common Owl. How do I figure CR for that? CR 1 and 1/4 seems a little odd and definitely a little high for a creature has no aggressive abilities and can only do a maximum of one point of damage (barring a critical).

Any help would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

01-05-05, 01:21 AM The creature would have a CR of 1, after 1, all fractions are dropped.

01-05-05, 02:45 PM A CR of 1/3. The progression goes 1/10 to 1/8 to 1/6 to 1/4 to 1/3 to 1/2 to 1 to 2 and onward form there.
