| Andarious07-18-04, 01:10 AM | I would run it down like this base cr 3 +1 and 1/2 to cr for 6 hd (I'm gonna round up at the end) +1 cr for increasing to size large, +6 cr for 12 nonassociated class levels, so yep round up to 12 (actually I might even round down to 11 or apply the non elite array to make it a bit more cleric like and maybe have Str 12, Dex 14, Con 13, Int 10, Wis 15, Cha 8 by the dmg roll 12 for base stat 7)... Hope I've helped. |
| Lord_Naerik07-18-04, 01:45 AM | Almost correct Class levels are only non-associated up to the creature's Hit Dice, therefore only the first 8 Cleric Levels are non associated. I believe the correct formula is: Vampiric Ixitxachitl CR 3 6 Extra Aberation HD CR +1.5 Size Increased to Large CR +1 8 Non Associated Cleric levels CR +4 4 Associated Cleric levels CR +4 Final CR 13-14 depending on effectiveness (in your estimation) Also note, the above CR calculation assumes you grant the creature an Elite Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) for ability scores then apply its racial modifiers (Str +2, Dex +6, Con +2, Int +2, Wis +2, Cha -4) Dont forget to modify its abilities for it's new size as well. Give the creature Magic Items and Gear appropriate to a 12th level NPC as well as Double Item Tresure for a CR 5-6 monster. This is all assuming you want to play by the rules ;) Dont forget to let us know how this turns out for your group. |
| primemover00307-19-04, 06:58 PM | This won't really be that challenging for the party actually... it's only a minor participent in a battle including: Vampire Ixit Clr12 2 ixit Clr 6, 5 ixit Clr 3 (maybe ?) 5 Chasme (BoVD) Marilith (the true threat) All this takes place in a half submerged (40'water/100' ceiling)temple to Demogorgon under a Forbiddance spell... |
