09-11-04, 06:34 PM When you advance a monster, how does its CR change to accomodate?

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the books, but I don't see this anywhere.

Increasing the Stone Golem by 28 hit dice only increased it's CR by 5, so there doesn't appear to be a correlation there.

09-12-04, 12:19 AM Its in the back of the Monster Manual on page 294. There is a table (4-4) that tells you how much the CR increases as you add hit dice.
