Am I the only one that fears we won't get much special for the Crafted Creature? I mean so far we have an Abberation Mastermind with CR 15+. Does that sound at all like an elder Mind Flayer/Beholder to any of you? And as far as special abilities go, it's quite likely that either a Ray or Rend/Improved Grab ability will be available. |
| Rake11-12-05, 09:20 PM | It seems to me that the majority of the voters just opted for the most boss-monster category thing they could 'craft', with the most HD and CR. Disappointing, kinda. |
| Prak, the Mad11-12-05, 11:38 PM | yeah, throughout this I've been looking at what there is very little of in Dnd, or at least what there seems to be very little of to me, so my choices(after type, since I don't remember what I voted for there...) went as follows 2)melee hurter, since there aren't many aberration melee hurters, not that I could think of 3)CR 3-, or whatever the low end was, cause there aren't many low cr masterminds... 4)plains, because there are no aberration with plains as their environment. I haven't proposed an SA yet, because I'm trying to think of something different. but yes, people are going off of what they like, and so of course we're going to end up with another monster like a MF or Beh. because those are a couple of popular types... |
| rampant11-13-05, 05:45 AM | yeah i wanted a low cr critter so that it had a better chance to be something memorable, i mean how are you supposed to compete with dragons and mindflayers, but when your primary competition is the blink dog or dire boar its easier to stand out |
