04-25-04, 12:18 AM there is a 3rd party spell (in Sword and Sorceries Relics and Rituals book) that allows a group of arcane casters working together to create a vampire.

it should be noted that with the advent of 3.5 create greater undead is now sor/wizard spell as well as a cleric spell, and it no longer allows the creation of vampires.
