Creating Monsters [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-21-04, 06:12 PM In the world I'm working on, I plan to have many monsters created by myself. I'm just curious if there's any good programs, websites, or any place to get information to aid me in the process of creating monsters, since I'm going to make tons... Any help is greatly appreciated.

09-21-04, 11:32 PM A technique I have used in the past goes as follows:

Pick a known monster with abilities you are shooting for.
Add a template or three for more abilities.
Change the name and physical description and the players will never know the difference.

That said, the Creature Catalog (http://www.enworld.org/cc/index.php) might be just what you are looking for.
