I've got an idea for a race i've dubbed the 'Treefolk'. That's just what the people of the world tend to call them, they arent actually trees, they're just tall and have barklike skin texture. I want to make them accessable to players, so I've got a few solid things down..

Treefolk:
Large Monstrous Humanoid
HD: 2d8
Darkvision 60 feet
2 natural Slam attacks (1d6)
Natural Armor + ??
Level Adjustment: 2 Racial HD and LA +1
Favored Class: Druid

Ability Scores, I'm not entirely sure what 'leeway' I have based on the 2 HD and LA +1. I'd be more inclined to give them a +con than +strength, and in mental I'd lean twords +2 Wis, -2 Cha. They are an insightful race drawn to the ways of nature, but this often causes them trouble interacting with other races.

Much help would be appreciated. The world they're in is one mostly flooded by water, burt with areas of land, including an epic-spell made landmass created by a druid enclave, and swamps, mountain peaks, etc. There is a Lawful Neutral Earth God who may have had a hand in their creation, but their origin is left intentionally vague.

Check out the Volodni race from The Unapproachable East book. the basic design of the race should help knowing the limits of you Treefolk.

I looked at the Voo guys, they're interesting, but not exactly what I was looking for.

I was also thinking I would make them have extremely tight pants. Pants that are tighter than pants have ever been before!!!

I was also thinking that They aught to get a +8 racial bonus to hide in woodland environments. +4 to cancel the Large size penalty, and an additional +4 as an actual bonus.

Semi bump post since I purged my posts of coworkerisms...

Anyone got thoughts on natural armor?
