I keep hearing about "if they land the 2 claws, they get their bite"? im looking at a Rampager in the MM2 3.0E, p177, it says 2 claws +14 and bite +9 melee Now....does that mean it gets all 3 attacks>? or only gets the bite if it lands the claws? Im confused.... Gimmie an exsample of a creature that only gets an attack if it lands others....please help. TROLLS! how do their attacks go... claw, claw, and if they landed a bite? |

With rake or rend, you get extra damage if X number of other attacks hit, or you grapple, or some other special circumstances. However, ALL creatures can use their Full attack (listed as Attacks in 3.0) when they make a full-attack. Rake or rend is further attacks or damage if certain attacks are successful. Lions and leopards have rake abiltities if their bite hits and they grapple. Trolls get extra damage if both of their claw attacks hit in a round. They can make attacks with 2 claws and a bite, and if both the claws hit, the opponent takes 2d6+9 additional damage. |
