Creature Cross-check? Monster Matching? [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-12-05, 09:49 AM Is there a definitive guide out there that lists all of the current monsters released so far for 3.x?

After seeing the official compilation of feats (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/feats) and prestige classes (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/prc), it got me thinking that a list of monsters would be neat.

But on top of that, what if I want to find out which monsters have petrifying gaze? Perhaps I need to look up all medium-sized fey. Maybe I want to throw a couple of CR 15 abberrations with the cold subtype at my players.
Taking this one step further in the creature niche (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20051028a) article, it lists roles that the monsters fill. Perhaps I want to look up which creatures are usually spoilers, or which ones are rarely masterminds.

I suppose this is more of a suggestion topic than a "Where can I find a" topic. But if there is some sort of site like that (I know there's something like that for feats already), could someone posts links, please?

12-12-05, 10:57 AM That's quite the comprehensive collection. I'd love to see a searchable version of that. No major information such as how their special abilities work, but their type/subtype/CR - all that stuff implemented.

What about treasure? No/Standard/Double/Special [ ex. giants]. That way if I was feeling generous, I could see what monsters have a pre-listing for double treasure. (Plot-line, think about it. Why would this creature have more treasure than standard, or not as much as usual?)
