The wings would come out of the horse-half like Pegusus wings. i just thought that it would loook cool, and since Centaurs prefer to use bows as their weapon, the could use it from the air. Can anyone give me the stats?

Can anyone give me the stats? Umm.. just add wings dude. Can move at twice base land speed (max 120), (Poor) Manueverability. That should cover it. No real stat changes to add wings to something.

Someone help me out here... :P If it looks like a centaur, and is under the "monstrous half-dragon" article, logically it would be a Half-Dragon Centaur. Edit: If it's this http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/rodragon_gallery/94145.jpg , then I'd say it's safe to say it's a half-dragon centuar.

And yes - having wings qualify them for feats like Fly-by-Attack and Hover and all that good stuff. Kinda obvious.

RavinRay 04-08-06, 01:17 PM	It's a 2e Mystran (?) centaur-like creature, only it used the pegasus for the equine half. In 3.5e it can be created by applying the tauric template with a human (1st-level warrior) as the base humanoid and the pegasus as the base animal/magical beast.

Dear Demon Princes! As RavinRay said, it is like a centaur, but with a pegasus body replacing the horse body. Why would the wings move off the pegasus just because you stick a human torso with arms and head still attached where it s head used to be?

A pegasus/human with the tauric template would have them on the horse part. A horse/avoral (the winged elves from FR) with the tauric template would have them on the humanoid part. A centaur with the winged template could be either - personally, I'd put them on the horse section. It just seems like that would be more likely - you'd need some pretty massive wings to get off the ground, and if you had them on the humanoid torso... well, imagine having a horse dangling from your legs. Heavy, no? Having the wings on the horse body means that it would be doing the lifting, and we all know a horse (or pegasus, for that matter) can carry a human*. *I have absolutely no knowledge of biology or anything, so I could be way off base.
Carpe Diem 04-08-06, 11:19 PM	I suppose it would depend on the strength of the Tauric Avoral Horse because I don't think the Avoral Elves can carry a big load and fly. So if you couldn't even carry your own weight (using a bipedal carrying capacity because the wings aren't on the horse portion?) then you wouldn't be able to fly. Either way, the Tauric Human Pegasus sounds the best and I hate the Winged Creature Template because you can apply it to an elf to make a flier that's better than an Avoral Elf. I just got Races of the Dragon today, and I had the same questions. I haven't had the opportunity to look at the book in depth, but I want to play a Kobold :D
