OzyBurrfoot 04-06-08, 06:35 PM	Basically what I need is a creature or set of creatures to represent spirits of the world, essentially Japanese Shinto kami. If anyone is familar with the Exalted rpg, you know exactly what I'm looking for, as I'm working on an Iron Heroes setting that is basically an Exalted rip off. Things they need to be: incorporeal, varied in nature, varied in power. Yeah, I know, I don't ask for much do I? :P Any ideas?
Kouk 04-06-08, 09:38 PM	Check out the Telthor template in Unapproachable East. Basically it makes the creature an incorporeal fey that is bound to the land. It can be put on humanoids or animals. It is more suited for the minor "everywhere" gods, like spirits of the forest or mountains and such. They aren't inherently powerful, but the template can be put onto more powerful creatures if you want. Also, in the book Oriental Adventures there are tons of creatures suitable to be minor kami and a few which are more powerful. There is a semi-official 3.5 update in Dragon 318.
