I'm going to play a druid/planar shepherd soon and I'm looking for magical beasts that are native to Pernia. So far I've only found a few in Frostburn that could apply. Does anyone know of any good contenders or a template I can toss on some normal animals? |

| Dead_Weasel11-15-07, 05:01 AM | Exactly what is Pernia? I ask since I know nothing of it, and I presume that no one else has posted anything because they have similarly been left in the dark. |
| Radijs11-15-07, 09:52 AM | Its an eberronian plane. Basically a plane of ice if there is such a thing. |
| Dead_Weasel11-15-07, 06:05 PM | That would be Risia, actually. I believe that you are thinking of Fernia, Risia's opposite. Anything with the cold subtype could exist there comfortably, so: Chraal Cryohydra Frost dwarf Frost giant Frost salamander Frost worm Ice mephit Ice paraelemental Immoth Marid Rejkar Silver dragon Snowflake ooze White dragon Whitespawn Winter wolf Xor-yost Perhaps a few creatures with regeneration, although they are unlikely to be in a good mood, and could very well be imprisoned in a chunk of ice (or air too cold to freeze), either intentionally or accidentally: Ogre mage Troll Anything at all with the Cold Element Creature template. Undead of most kinds, since they do not care about the temperature. Weather severe enough to deal cold damage instead of subdual damage would be a concern, though. Metallic constructs, armored characters and warforged would all have difficulty functioning without magical aid thanks to frost forming inside their armor/plating. Planar adventurers and jann could also be present, although Eberron discourages meta-Eberronian wanderings. The ubiquitous agents of the Lords of Dust could be present, having divined that bringing a frosty cataclysm to the Demon Wastes could strengthen and perhaps even release their master. |
