03-29-08, 02:37 AM There are some in the core Monster Manual, and many more in the Lords of Madness supplement. I strongly recommend looking at LoM; it is one of the better monster books for sure.

03-29-08, 02:38 AM examples from the core MM? I mean ive own it, and never come across anything thats suppose to be from the far realm... but i havnt read it cover to cover. And ya, im fix'n to invest in LoM

Hmmm...that's all I can think of at the moment. There were a bunch that I thought were in there (grell, psurlon, etc) that are actually only in LoM.

Few if any of those others mentioned mention anything about the Far Realm either.

03-29-08, 11:43 AM Well, im really looking for far realm creatures that span the 1-20 levels, not so much epic levels. The reason im curious is because i want to rehash the alienist prestige class to allow it to summon creatures from the far realm, rather than just use psudonatural creatures.

03-29-08, 11:49 AM You might want to look at the Xoriat plane in Eberron, it's not the Far Realm, but pretty close. Daelkyr, Mind flayers, generally most of the aberrations in the game...

Then just use mind flayers and Aboloths. If you have LoM, you can also use the Alhoon. Quickest and easiest way.

Also Complete Arcane has a lower CR adjustment version of the Psuedonatural template (But I think you would know that considering you mentioned the alienist.)

Mindflayers themselves are not from the Far Realm, like the aboleths they come from a different time period although mindflayers are from the opposite side of the time stream. Thoon Flayers may work if you want to use them.

03-29-08, 04:12 PM Well i dont really see a PC summoning an mind flayer with summon monster; im more or less looking for non-intelligent/not-so-intelligent far plane creatures to add to the summon monster list of the Alienist

03-30-08, 12:09 PM Within the last three years of publication there was a Dragon magazine with a whole article on far realm creatures. Not sure which issue though.

04-01-08, 12:07 AM I'm surprised no one mentions the fiend folio; the kaorti are wizards who tampered wit the far realm, and they created a few creatures for their invasion of the material plane (also in the fiend folio).
