| Daftmouse03-12-07, 08:45 PM | There are some creatures that can cause ability drain and when the creature they are targeting reach 0 on that ability, the targeted creature dies and/or becomes something else. Ex. P.221/222 of MM Strength Damage (Su): The touch of a shadow deals 1d6 points of Strength damage to a living foe. A creature reduced to Strength 0 dies. This is a negative energy effect. Create Spawn: Any humanoid reduced to Strength 0 by a shadow becomes a shadow under the control of its killer within 1d4 rounds. P.252 of MM Create Spawn: A humanoid or monstrous humanoid slain by a vampire's energy drain rises as a vampire spawn 1d4 days after burial. If the vampire instead drains the victim Constitution to 0 or lower, the victim returns as a spawn if it had 4 or less HD and as a vampire if it had 5 or more HD... P.151 HoH Empathic Feeding (Su): A gray jester can drain joyous emotions from humanoid beings... Any target who fails her DC15 Will save takes 1d4 points of Charisma drain. Those drained to 0 Charisma in this fashion may become bleak ones (see below). What I would love would be a more completed (not 100% completed all though that would be great) version of a list like this: Str Shadow* Umbral Creature* Dex - Con Vampire* Wounding Weapons Int - Wis - Cha Gray Jester* *If a creatures' ability score is reduced to 0 by this effect it becomes a different type of creature. |
