Hey, I was just wondering if there was any Lovecraft themed monsters. I've seen Dagon from Monster Manual II but is there any others like Cthulhu for example? I know that Chaosium owns the rights to Lovecraft's mythos but if Dagon's a part of DnD I reckoned others might be as well.
If you do find anything, simply supply the name of the monster and the book I could find it in.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Illithids, Monster Manual
Ulitharids, Elder Brains, Lords of Madness
Neothelids, Expanded Psionics Handbook
Mind Flayers of Thoon, Monster Manual V

Illithids have always been very much in the vein of Lovecraft's work.

Though the physical design of the illithids is obviously based off cthulhu, fluff-wise they have more in common with b-movie monsters from the 50s. (ccrrraaabbb pppeeeoooppplllee)

The aboleth however has a much more lovecraftian feel, ancient atavistic corruptors.

Half far spawn Green Dragons come to mind.

I like the Illithids myself, but then again my entire setting is based upon a mad deity hellbent on bringing about Entropic heat decay a little early, so monsters from the end of time make sense.

Aboleths, Skum, Grey Ooze, Wystes, Obox-Ob.

The aboleth section in Lords of Madness actually talks about incorporating the Cthulhu Mythos into D&D.

Call of Cthulhu d20 had stats for Cthulhu. Higher CR than Orcus. Good times.

CoC d20 is, incidentally, the best version of Call of Cthulhu out there. No kidding! It's out of print, but if you can find it, you're set for Cthulhu-y goodness.
