Sorry if this is a repeat of an old question (and I am sure it is) but is there any game mechanic for curing vampirism. I have a busy week and any help locating a source on this issue would be helpful (even something in any 2ed sources will be helpful). If there is nothing out there, feel free to make suggestions. I appreciate all of the input. Thank you very much.

Sorry, as far as I know, nothings there. The only method I have heard of before (in the movies anyway) is to kill the head vampire (the one that made the victim a vampire) before the victim drinks any blood, then they return to normal.

Only way that's been officially approved is to kill it and then cast raise dead, bringing the person back as a mortal and not an undead.

Hmmmmm... If you've been bitten but not killed by a vampire you can (I think) cauterize the wound (by burning it with a brand) and then soaking it with holy water. This should prevent you from becoming a vampire. As for a creature that is already a vampire, I think the only way is to kill the head vampire.
