DR #/Special Materials is Extraordinary

DR #/Magic, Epic, or Alignment is Supernatural

DR #/Combo (Bludgeoning and Magic [lich]) is supernatural

this is correct, but note that a combo can be EX as well as Su

for example DR 10/bludgeoning and Adamantine would be EX.

Basically, the rule I use is that anything that you need magic or a supernatural ability to bypass is Supernatural in nature, while anything that can be overcome by good old mundane equipment is Extraordinary.

This is in case the fight carries over into an anti-magic field; you're not allowed to have DR which cannot be overcome, as an Ex DR/Magic would be.

From the MM 3.5 Errata:

Damage Reduction
Damage Reduction is either extraordinary (Ex) or
supernatural (Su). Use the following guidelines if it
is not specified.

• DR X/slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning
should be (Ex)
• DR X/adamantine should be (Ex)
• DR X/-- should be (Ex)
• DR X/silver or cold iron should be (Su)
• DR X/magic should be (Su)
• DR X/chaotic, lawful, holy, or unholy
should be (Su)

Egres is dead on. This also means that if you get a lich in an antimagic field the DR is not negated, it simply drops to 15/bludgeoning rather than 15/bludgeoning and magic.

This also means that while building a creature of the "animal" type, it can still have DR X/-, piercing, bludgeoning, slashing, or adamantine.

Only one I know of though is the giant armadillo thing in Frostburn.
