Damage Reduction 3.5 [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-27-04, 07:29 AM Hi,

while reading the SRD i learned that there is
a damage reduction that can by bypassed only
a weapon with two qualities like an
'evil cold iron'-wapon and that some
creatures are vulnerable to two qualties,
'magic and slashing'.

So, reading the monsters in the SRD
i found only entries like
10/cold iron and magic
so does that mean both qualities are needed ?
Is there any monster which is vulnerable to
more than one type of weapon in the SRD ?

10-27-04, 09:38 AM X and Y means that the weapon has to be X and Y to get through the DR.

For example DR 15/piercing and magic you would need a magical piercing weapon (like a dagger +1)

X or Y means that the weapon has either to be X or Y or both.

For example DR 15/piercing or magic you would need either a pirecing weapon (dagger) or a magical weapon (warhammer +1)

No. There is no raning list for DR anymore.
A DR/slashing can only be overcome by a slashing weapon.
