| RAMAUL04-14-04, 03:27 PM | Say creature #1 had 10/- damage reduction he attacks a monster with 10/magic. does 10/- overcome magic? i think a demilich should count as a magic weapon. |
| Krelios04-14-04, 03:28 PM | Unnamed DR does not count as any type so a creature with DR 10/- does NOT overcome 10/magic DR. However, some monsters explicitly state that their attacks count as magical or evil or whatever, so check the natural attacks/special attacks sections. |
| Ogre4Hire04-14-04, 07:09 PM | A creature with DR 10/- (ie a large Earth Elemental) can't overcome the DR of any other creature without magical aid (such as a Magic Fang spell). A Demilich (as described in the Epic Level Handbook) deals magical energy damage and therefore ignores DR of any type. |
