| R.M.G.C.L.F.01-12-05, 12:02 AM | This creature was originally created, by me, for the Call of Cthulhu game. It's format has been modified to fit your TV. Blasphester (Spawn of Azathoth) Small Outsider (extraplanar) (lesser servitor race) HD:1d8+5 (9hp) Speed: 20ft, swim 30ft, fly 10ft(su, perfect) AC:14(+1dex,+3natural) Attacks: tentacles+2 melee Damage: Tentacles 1d6+1 plus 1d4 acid Face/Reach:5ft/5ft Special Attacks: Orb of death, improved grab, grip of decay, spell-like abilities Special Qualities: Darkvision 60ft, blindsight 30ft, DR3/+1, SR8, acid and cold resistance 5, negative energy immunity, light sensitivity Saves: Fort+4, Ref+3, Will-1 Abilities:Str13,Dex12,Con14,Int1,Wis4,Ch a13 Skills: Spot+1, Listen+1, Cthulhu Mythos+1 Feats: Toughness _________________________ Climate/Terrain: Aquatic or underground CR: 1 Alignment: Always Neutral Treasure: None Advancement: 2-3hd(small), 4-7hd(med), 8-10hd(huge) Sanity Loss: 1/1d4 A blasphester resembles a thick glop of bubbling black goo. The orb-like bubbles that rise, fall, and burst within it glow with an unhealthy cold green or blue light. It's body is constantly extending and retracting a myriad of probing wiry tendrils and chord-like tentacles. Blasphesters are abominable things. Generated from Azathoth they are near-mindless entities that delight in death, decay, and destruction. They prefer harming living things but if none are readily available they will be content to hammer and smash at any objects around, the more intricate, beautiful, or delicate, the more fun it is to break. Combat: Blasphesters do not attempt to judge relative power levels or risks. If it lives and is near, they will attack it. Blasphester's try to overcome particularly stubborn opponents with their inflict ability and if hit with attacks or weapons using fire or light will retreat under cover of darkness. They use shatter to destroy hard crystals. Spell-like abilities(sp): Once per day darkness, inflict light wounds, shatter, detect life (CoC spell). Caster level 1. Orb of Death(su): Once per day a blasphester can send a cold black sphere at an opponent within 80ft by making a successful ranged touch attack. This deals 1d12 negative energy damage, and heals an amount equal to 1/2 that when striking an undead creature. Negative energy immunity(ex): As an incarnation of death and destruction, blasphester suffer no ill effects from inflict spells, energy drain, or other forms of attack utilizing negative energy. Light Sensitivity(ex): A blasphester suffers a -1 penalty to AC and attack rolls when within bright light. It generally flees such light to destroy elsewhere given the oppertunity. Grip of Decay(su): In addition to taking tentacle damage each round, a creature grappled by a blasphester must make a foritude save dc:11 each round or take 2 temporary strength and constitution damage as it erodes and rots away their flesh. |

| R.M.G.C.L.F.01-14-05, 06:29 AM | Dude, it's a CoC critter, it's supposed to kill you. Ah, I kid. Anyway, I don't think it would be such a problem at d12. After all it can't kill you, the worst it can do is knock somebody unconcious. |
| TemporalEnergon01-14-05, 05:46 PM | Woops  I missed that once a day part :P On that note, I think this thing is awesome!!!!! More please. :D |
