| Haakon the Airlord01-12-04, 12:37 PM | I was looking at the bat stats the other day and the idea just popped up somewhere in my strange mind. DARKY:b: Fine Fey Hit Dice: 1d6-1(3 hp) Initiative: +4 Speed: 5 ft., fly 10 ft.(poor) Armor Class: 23(+3 dodge, +2 leather armor, +8 size) Base Attack/Grapple: +0/+0 Attack: Two-bladed sword +0(1d2) Full Attack: Two-bladed sword +0(1d2) of Two-bladed sword 2/2 Space/Reach: 2 ˝ ft/0ft Special Attacks: psionics Special Qualities: 120 ft. darkvision Saves: Fort 1, Ref +4, Will +1 Abilities: Str 10, Dex 16, Con 8, Int 12, Wis 10, Cha 14 Skills: Hide +4, Move Silently +4, Open Lock +4, Ride +4, Escape Artist +4, Knowledge(the planes) +4, Knowledge(nature) +4 Feats: Two-Weapon Fighting, Exotic Weapon Proficiency(Sword, two-bladed) Environment: Forest Organization: solitary or gang(2-5) Challenge Rating: 2 Treasure: Standard Alignment: Usually Lawful Evil Darky are a highly evil form of fey. They commonly use black leather armor and are known to ride bats. Darkys speak Common, Sylvan and Infernal. COMBAT Darkys do not normally engage in combat, but if they do, they fight fiercely with their swords and psionic abilities. Psionics(Sp): at will-darkness, negative energy ray(as ray of frost, but negative energy damage). The spells are as cast by a lvl. 5 sorcerer and the save DCs are Charisma-based. Now let's see, does the community accept evil fey? |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.01-12-04, 06:21 PM | A few comments: 1. You wrote "+3 dodge" in the armor class, that should be +3 dex. 2. You forgot to include the +8 attack bonus they get for being fine-sized. 3. They should have 2hp, not 3. 4. You forgot to give them low-light vision. (It's not redundant because low-light vision, unlike darkvision, can distinguish color). 5. You should probably say things like "fine leather armor" and "fine two-bladed sword", or maybe even invent a new weapon name like voleskin leather armor. 6. The challenge rating seems reasonable considering the high armor class, although you might want to up the hp a bit or increase their manuverablity (smaller creatures tend to be much more manuverable than larger ones) 7. The strength probably should be lower for such a miniscule creature. If you want to keep it at ten, I suggest giving them a normal strength of 1 and some supernatural quality like "strength of night" or something that provides a +10 unholy bonus to strength. A few purely thematic comments: As written, they don't stand out as particularly fey-like. I suggest adding some more flavor text to describe them and make their nature spirit qualities stick out more. Also you might want to give them light sensitivity. |

Wes You know, I used to have an actual name. Back on the old boards, I used to be "Read My Glowing, Claw-Like Finger", but then there was some problem with a word limit, and all of a sudden my six word SN was gone. I miss it so. :( |
| cwslyclgh01-12-04, 10:14 PM | you are only a shadow of your once grand self it seems ;) |
