I was wondering if someone could make a Deathclaw for me from the PC games Fallout and Fallout 2. Any CR below epic is fine, I was thinking somewhere 9-13. I am horrible at creating monsters and would really appreciate if someone could make this/ help me make this! I haven't been playing D&D too long so I wouldn't know what feats or anything to give it.

Thank you in advance for anyone who helps at all!

Deathclaws are Giant, Radiation(or magic)-Mutated chameleons. They roam the desert in packs, or establish tribes, lead by a spellcasting elder. They have hide as thick as the best platemail, and are as strong as some giants. However, they lack intelligence, and use only basic strategy in combat.

Combat: A Deathclaw begins the combat by roaring, then charging and trying to rip apart all enemies wiht it's claws.

Immunity to extreme desert temperatures (Ex):: A Deathclaw is adapted to living in the desert. It does not suffer from the extreme heat and cold dangers as described in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

Rend (Ex): To use this ability, a Deathclaw must hit with both claws in the same round. If it does, it automatically rends the opponent for an additional 2d6+13 damage.

Roar (Ex): A Deathclaw always roars at the start of a combat as a free action. All opponents within 200 feet must make a Will save (DC 17) or be frightened for 14 rounds. The DC is charisma-based.

There you go! :) I made them a bit more feral to fit into the D&D world, but basically all you have to do is the replace the elder with a Queen (maximum advanced Deathclaw) and they are the same. i added the roar for flavor, and it's probably not much use. The ECL is based on that of giants.

Good, good, I say nice work, as a Fallout player.

SPOILER WARNING. FLASH. BANG. WHATEVER LOUD NOISES ARE NEEDED TO SCARE OFF SPOILER... WAIT.... THE GAME IS A FEW YEARS OLD... NEVERMIND.

They ARE intelligent, in Fallout 2, intelligent Deathclaws have colonized Vault 13, and you can get one to join your party. You can also have one escape from the bad guy's base.

I know, that's why I gave them int 7. Some of them are intelligent, others are stupid.

TotalAnarchy Inc: Nope, 1 round/HD, but the save is so low it doen't really matter. Also: Do you want me to do any more monsters?

Well maybe a wannamango (sp?) or a radscorpion.
Mr.Waesel

For radscorpoin I'd use either a large or a Huge Monstrous scorpion. Wanamingo coming up...

A Wanamingo is a strange creature of alien origin, it has a long, sleek head, from wich two legs with clawed feet and two tentacles sprout. The beast has no apparent eyes.

Combat:

A Wanamingo is a straightforward fighter. It attacks with it's tentacles hoping to trip the opponent.

Blind (Ex): A Wanamingo has hearing-based vision, It is therefore immune to attacks that rely on sight (Blindness, gaze attacks, illusions, etc.)

Trip (Ex): A Wanamingo may make a free trip attempt when it hits with a tentacle. An opponent cannot react to trip the Wanamingo back.

Edited it: Some minor cosmetic changes (added (Ex) and the line: "an opponent cannot...")

How about Geckos? Mundane, Golden, and Fire types? They're relatively low CR critters, I figure, since they rarely survive more than 2 shots or a few well-placed punches. Plus, their ability to use their tails to right themselves from a prone position is vaguely creepy.

While we're at it, how about a Radiation Ghoul or SuperMutant template?

I thought Fire Geckos were nasty. I always avoided them if I could.

Edit: FIRE, not golden!
