Shiftkitty 11-20-07, 03:59 PM	If you kill a deepspawn, what happens to the spawns it spawned? The spawns were in another part of the dungeon and were unaware of "mother's" death. I figured that they continued to live as independent, if severely socially stunted, beings. Others would see them as the being that they were spawned from, although there would always be something a little "off".
Dlucius 01-18-08, 03:05 PM	I guess they would continue with their lives. Remember, they could gain new memories and experiences. They are just foggy about their past before they became spawn. There is so much you can do with the Deepspawn. I am currently writing a module where a Deepspawn is secretly taking over a small town and using spawns of the towns inhabitants to further its goals. I like the idea of reoccurring bad guys that the PC's have killed several times and cant figure out how they keep coming back.

Why didn't I think of that?:banghead: Sort of like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"... verrrry evillllll.....:) Nice way to bring back BBEGs until the party figures out that they have to take on a Supreme BBEG! Thanks for your response. I had figured something like that for the orphaned spawn. I wasn't sure if they were somehow linked to "mother" or not. Now, what to do with fuzzy headed drow quadruplets... Surely they wouldn't be welcomed back home. Maybe my favorite NPC dark elf archmage will have use for them, like sending them along with the PCs he occassionally employs to make sure they aren't doing anything "questionable".
Dlucius 01-22-08, 10:27 AM	If you want, I'll send you what I have written. Of course it is in the Forgotten Realms setting. Lots of political intrigue as the PC's work towards the Deepspawns goals without knowing it. It's starting to come along nicely.
