Okay, I have been tossing around this idea for a cool BBEG: A little girl whose soul is in a magic jar and is being controlled by a Demi-Lich whose phylactory is in the form of a jewel studded false tooth. The Demi'Lich uses magic to control the soulless body.
This presents a few interesting problems:
1. The PCs only know that they have a very powerful little girl, possibly possessed or whatever, that they might end up killing.
2. The little girl can be saved but her body must be kept intact and the tooth must be found first.
3. Its a little girl for the love of gods, whats a little girl going to do. Seriously.

Just thought I would throw that out there and get some opinions.

... she's gonna have some serious PTSD when she gets out of that jar. If she gets out of it.

hope you have some incredibly powerful pc's, its a demilich. I haven't seen it played in 3rd but in second it suggested that the party be accompanied by avatars if they went up against one.

The "standard" demilich in 3.0 is CR 29. It's a CR +6 template that can be applied to a lich (so CR +10 over a basic spellcaster).

Also, I love the idea. 'Tis beautiful(ly evil).

I thought it was minimum Caster level 21, +10 CR and thus came out as CR 31?

Thank you for appreciating the evilness of this little monster. Its intended to be the super master BBEG to cap off an epic campaign I will be having in the near future. I thought the whole concept was a little to devious to keep to myself.:evillaugh

Heh, when I read the title, I thought to myself: "A demilich with a tooth-ache would be the most unhappy person ever."

I have a story about a demi lich.
We once found a door that was heavily trapped. We disabled them. There was signs all around saying don't open this door. We had just killed 6 liches. in the past 4 weeks. So we opened the door. We saw a demi lich. We then used a wish to go back in time about 23 seconds to a time before we opened that door. thankfully it worked. (after words it sparked a party debate in that, hey lets buff and then open it again...
