| Schmacker03-16-07, 04:32 AM | Hey there guys, I'm currently looking for a demon or devil of around CR4 for use in an upcoming adventure. I've only got access, currently, to the 3.5MM so if theres any on these boards that you would recomend that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance |

Lemures are CR1, so 4 of them would be EL4, but they have less options. You could also use a pair of quasits or imps. Achaierais: CR5 Barghest: CR4 Formian Warrior: CR3 (Not evil, but LN agressive.) Hell Hound: CR3 Howler: CR3 Salamander: CR3 Shadow Mastiff: CR5 Alternatively, you could use a Fiendish or Half-Fiend monster, or a Tiefling with class levels. Pay a visit to Enword (http://www.enworld.org/cc/converted/), they have stats for a lots of monsters. |

| Ebonyte03-16-07, 01:27 PM | Remember that Quasit and Imps can take other forms, so you COULD have them disgised as something else, to confuse your players. Nothing like fighting "vampires" who seem to have no weaknesses! Also, you could add the fiendish template to a standard critter to get the demon effect with another creature. My personal favorites are fiendish dryads or nymphs, but that's me, and probably doesn't fit in your CR range. |
| Holy_Beholder03-16-07, 03:06 PM | Or you could just make a demon advance a bit. Namely a dretch. Alternatively, you could have some stronger demon or devil who is cursed, wounded, missing a weapon, ect do the job. Say the PC's come across a bearded devil, its shattered glaive, and a recently killed adventuring party. |
| Schmacker03-16-07, 03:13 PM | The Tiefling idea I quite like, and I'm going to have a look at the feindish template to get an idea of weather that is an option for what I want. Thanks for the ideas guys. |
