| Kalaron07-01-05, 05:12 PM | Something that has never been clear for me is the Summon ability that some demons and devils have. Say, for example, that a Nalfeshnee is in the Prime Material, guarding x artifact. He knows the adventurers are coming so he uses his summon tanar'ri ability: 50% chance for 1d4 vrocks, 1d4 Hezrou or one Glabrezu, or 20% chance for another nalfeshnee. Now, the ability description states "This ability is the equivalent to a 5th level spell". Does that mean that the summoned tanar'ri are in this plane for 1 round per caster level (14th in the nalfeshnee's example)? Do the summoned demons stay for good? Therefore, can the summoned demons use their own summoning powers? |
