Ok, I'm running a desert campaign, pretty quick here

What do you all think are some good desert monsters in the MM (I don't own any other Monster Manuals.)

Also, any links to good desert monsters that were posted here would be great.

Thanks,
Keeper of the Mists

A fantastic resource for this would be Sandstorm, the environmental book for deserts. It has a bunch of desert races, monsters, desert-specific feats, and spells...including drift magic. I was running a desert campaign almost exclusively out of it....I don't think I used anything out of the MM.

You need more MM books, but since you don't have:

Scorpions, the big ones are particularly nasty.
Basilisks
Behirs
Blue, copper, Brass, Red Dragons
Lions, Elephants, Hyenas, Rhinoceros
Djinnis, Jann, Efreet
Mummys
Sphinxes
Wyverns
Any Undead in ruins like wights, spectres, ghosts, skeletons, etc that rise from sand.

Half-Giants are desert dwellers from the Expanded Psionics Handbook which is open content.

Thri-kreen are fantastic and from that book to, but sadly they are not open content.

Also try the Yuan'ti from the MM, but instead of jungle dwellers they are sand dwellers.

What's it like, you just change "viper-like Yuan-ti" to "cobra-like Yuan-ti"?

Basically, or sidewinders. Yuan'ti who slither about sideways would be kinda cool.

Sand giants are a must. Desert Landwyrms could be a challenge even for high lvl PCs.

Sandstorm also has desert-specific PrCs.
