Devils are LE, demons are CE, who're NE? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I know devils (baatezu) are lawful evil, and demons (tanar'ri) are chaotic evil.

Who are the baddies that are neutral evil? (And where can I find info on 'em?)

10-14-03, 08:20 PM The Yugoloths, AKA daemons from AD&D. They've been updated to 3e in the Manual of the Planes, Fiend Folio, (I believe) Monster Manual 2, and Tome of Horrors, in addition to some powered-up (in line with 3.5 fiends) and new ones on these boards.

They are, IMO, the coolest fiends around.

Incorrect, as Demodands/Gehreleths are Chaotic Evil. They are in the FF, however.

Hm, you're right. I remember reading a CE version somewhere . . . maybe in the ToH.

Oops! Dackad, that took me to the place I'd go if I hit New Reply at Revising the Yugoloths (though I got there anyway, and I've already seen the great work you've done).

A lot of people are doing variants of demodands and (especially) yugoloths--WotC doesn't do very well with outsiders besides demons and devils, and some celestials. (Though I thought the 'dands were alright).
