Carved from massive diamonds, the likes of which can be found only on the Quasielemental plane of Mineral, Diamond Golems are made to look like mighty dragons, complete with wings. However, their wings are mostly decoration and the only natural weapons they are actually capable of using are their fore claws. Diamond golems are exceedingly rare, the few known to exist belonging either to very powerful mineral Genasi spellcaster with the means to create them, or else sold to very rich and powerful persons, such as the "Golden Lords" of Sigil.

Combat: Diamond golems follow the orders of their creator or commander without question. They use their breath weapon indiscriminately and as often as possible.

Magic Immunity (Ex): A diamond golem is immune to all spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural effects, except as follows. A Shatter spell does damage to the Diamond golem as a crystalline creature. A Daylight spell or Prismatic Spray cast on the Golem increases its speed like haste would, for five rounds, as dies moving through a prismatic sphere or wall. while a Deeper Darkness or Damning Darkness spell cast on it slows it for five rounds.

Breath Weapon (Su) Unless in an area of darkness, a diamond golem may use its ‘breath weapon’ once every 1d4+1 rounds. It spreads its wings, absorbing extra light, and then lets out the energy, combined with magic inherent in its creation, to mimic the effects of Prismatic Spray, as cast by a 15th level sorcerer.

Augmented Critical (Ex): A Diamond Golem’s incredibly sharp claws threaten a critical hit on a roll of 18-20

Ouch. sounds like something you'd have to fight to get to a god

It should be a bit lower than CR 17. Keep in mind a Ironwyrm Golem is a CR 17, and it has nearly twice as many HD, twice as high AC, and less spell-weaknesses. So perhaps this is a CR 16ish?

What would teh requirements be to create these creatures, assuming that the PC(s) found the means to create them?

hm... i'll have to do creation soon.

as for the CR, i had benchmarked it agaisnt the Iron Golem... probably a bad choice.
