bullfrog 04-03-04, 07:11 PM	One of the recent dragon magazines has dinosaurs listed in it aswell. I just don’t remember witch one it was. ( think it was within the last 3 months)

Mirtek 04-04-04, 12:19 PM	A Deinonychus is still an animal. Nothing more, nothing less. Just because Jurasic Park made the raptors, super intelligent predators, doesn't mean that D&D has to give them a human-like Int. It's bad enough that the MM2 did accept the JP nonesense about the Spinosaurus
Ogre4Hire 04-04-04, 12:49 PM	MM2 made the Spinosaurus a size G and gave it Fearsome Presence (the idiots). Dilophosaurus hasn't appeared yet. The new dinos presented in the latest Dragon are pretty cool. They did a good job of making them interesting with the different abilities that they handed out.

Luminous Crayon 04-04-04, 05:37 PM	For my own purposes, accuracy matters very little concerning dinosaurs. If I decide to throw a dinosaur at my players, they're going to hear it described as a "giant reptilian beast." I'm not going to tell them: "You see a stegosaurus off in the trees." In my own game of DnD, there are no dinosaurs, although giant reptilian beasts are still fair game.

DnD dragons talk, fly, cast spells, and breathe all sorts of terrible energies. Describing a creature with dinosaur stats as a "terrible dragon" is like describing a chimpanzee as a "terrible human."
