I want to check in the forum if it is correct to give a Dire Badger pet to my players' character, who is a Gnome Wizard 3/Rogue 1.
Is it overpowered, or is it just like a normal mount. What would he require to mount it? Should he be able to attack with all of his attacks and his mounts attacks every round?

Thanks for the help.

Why are you "giving" him such a thing? Is this a purchased critter or ??? Doesn't make any sense. For comparison a druid gets a Dire Badger animal companion at 4th level and rangers at 8th.

It is balanced if he buys it, he will also need to buy an exotic saddle to ride it; the creature technically still moves with its own move and standard actions, there for it can always attack with all of its attacks unless it moves and so can the rider.(though they both move on the same initiative based turn) it takes a dc 15 ride check in order to get the creature to do anything without the aid of the riders hands (as would be the case if the rider intends to cast spells or use weapons). and I am pretty sure about all of this because I usually play a gnome barbarian who rides a dire badger.
