Dire Leopard [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-26-05, 08:06 PM I was looking in the monster manuals but I could not find a dire leopard. I have a variant on the bear warrior that uses leopards instead of bears but I don't have a dire version for the top change. Does anyone know where I could find one?

04-27-05, 05:01 AM Well, two things come to mind:
1. There is a class in BoED that seems to be what you want, i thing its name is Lion of Talisid.
2. Since there is no Dire template, take a bear and a dire bear and see what are the changes made to him by the Dire adjustment. Then take a leopard (if there is no leopard a panther could do) and give him the same changes.

here's my 3.0 Dire Jaguar

Smoke Jaguar (dire-template leopard)

AC: 18 (-1 size, +4 dex, +5 natural)
Attacks: Bite +12 melee; 2 claws +7 melee
Damage: Bite 1d8 +9; claw 1d4 +4
Face/Reach: 5x10/5
Special Attacks: Pounce, improved grab,
rake 1d4+4
Special Qualities: Scent
Saves: Fort +9, Refl +8, Will +5
Abilities: Str 28 (+9), Dex 19 (+4), Con 21 (+5),
Int 2, Wis 12 (+1), Cha 6
Skills: Balance +12, Climb +17,
Hide +8 (+16 in heavy growth), Listen +6,

for 3.5 feats need to be added (2, alertness and ?) and skill points need to be recalc (total of 8 skill points ... Balance, climb, move silent, hide would be main skills imo)

Seriously though, there is a Dire Puma in the Sandstorm accessory, or you could just use a Tiger instead (which would be a lot faster and easier).

SURAT!!!!!!

edit: Dire Puma would be perfect ... Pumas, Leopards, Jaguars, and Cougars would all be close enough stat wise.
