| Paragon_Squirrel10-11-03, 11:53 AM | Hello everybody. I would like you to consider the following scenario. Bobby Quickfoot and his friends were playing a game of catch, when suddenly, there was what appeared to be a lunar eclipse. Actually, it was just a weasel, but it was incredibly huge. In fact, it was at least one size category above Bobby. Bobby quickly died as the weasel ate Bobby's head. However, contrary to popular belief, Bobby is actually a fire giant. Yes, a fire Giant. You see, if you look at dire animals, and then at HD advancement, you'll notice that dire weasels can become HUGE sized. For say, sharks, bears and elephants to be Huge or Larger, that could be expected to happen naturally in a magical world. But WEASELS? |
| sandskimmer10-11-03, 11:55 AM | Just be glad it's not a shrew. |
| Gingerbread Guy10-11-03, 06:32 PM | Hiho, There otta be Dire Amoebas that can get up to Fine size. Then people would be like "Woah, thats a huge frikkin' single cell organism! I can even see it with the naked eye!" and then step on it, cuz its still just an Amoeba. ~Ginger |

| Caend10-11-03, 09:39 PM | There actually are amoebas like an inch long. So a titanic amoeba... Oooh boy, can't wait to write up that adventure. |
| Paragon_Squirrel10-13-03, 03:53 PM | Speaking of ameobas.... Dire AIDS, Leprosy, Malaria, Bubonic Plauge, and Cold viruses! Once again, fine size tops.... How about......... Dire AIDS Fine (Minus Minus Minus) Animal HP: 1 (1/8 d8 -4 AC: 10 (10 + 4 size - 4 dex) Attacks: +4/-1 Slam Damage: 1d1-1* Slam Saves: Special Abilities: *Infect, Enter Host Special Qualities: Mindless, Don't Mess With Disease Abilities: Str 4 Dex 2 Con 2 Int 1 Wis - Cha - Skills: None Feats: None ---------------------------- CR 2 Habitat- Temperate Treasure- None Advancement- 1/4-1/2 HD Fine (Minus Minus), 1/2- 1 HD Fine (Minus), 1-3 HD Fine *Infect: Any creature hit by a Dire AIDS's slam attack must make an immediate foritude save, (DC 17) or contract AIDS, a disease with an incubation period of 2d2 days and deals 1d4 temporary ability damage to CON. All creatures that have AIDs can pass it on to any other possible recipient while having er.... sex , with a cumulative 10% chance of it being contracted per round. Enter Host: A Dire AIDS can enter the body of any bound, sleeping, or otherwise helpless foe. The creature contracts AIDS, but the Fort. save is increased to DC 21, and any other creature that has..... ummmmmm...... intercourse with the creature that the dire AIDS is in has a cumulative 25% chance of getting AIDS each round, as opposed to the normal 10%. The dire AIDS is free to leave the host body at any time, although the host creature still has AIDS. Mindless: All Dire AIDSs are immune to Mind-Affecting, Fear, and Morale-Related effects of abilities, spell like abilities, and spells, Don't mess with Disease: Any creature that successfully deals any damage whatsoever to a Dire AIDS with natural attacks or unarmed strikes immediately contracts AIDS. Well, not something to look forward to facing, eh? |
| psychognome10-13-03, 04:20 PM | Getting back on the subject... I actually find the mental image of giant bloodsucking weasels to be quite hilarious... make the dire weasels large enough, and you'll have giants using them as mounts or something. :D |

| EtherWeasel10-13-03, 07:46 PM | Not to be a wet blanket here, but in the 3.5 MM Dire Weasels only have an advancement to Large. Though suppose there's nothing saying you can't just keep stacking on the hit dice, and i also find the image of a Weasel that can eat giants for brunch quite appealing. |
| Mr.Waesel10-14-03, 04:54 AM | Yeah, Waesels rule ;) P.S: How come the AIDS virus is stronger than a rat? |
